Hip! Hip! Hooo-raaayyy!!!

No pictures today folks because my camera, external hard drive and computer are all packed up in boxes somewhere in my backroom. Actually, the camera might be on my dresser? Anyway, who knows? All I know is that moving weekend is complete! All together now:

Hip! Hip! Hoooo-raaaaayyyy!!!

I know, you're just as excited as me. I can tell.

We started this moving adventure officially on Friday night with a small trip over to the new place with Dustin's extremely wonderful strong wonderful helpful cousin. Did I also say how wonderful he was? Y'know, for HELPING US MOVE and all? I don't know how we could have done it without him. We powerhoused through Saturday and finished up on Sunday. But now we have boxes upon boxes upon boxes to sort through. And I'm in a tossing phase. I'm putting tons of stuff on freecycle daily to get rid of what we don't need/use/want. It's very freeing. Now that I'm unpacking and going through everything, its easy to get a feel for what we can keep. Anyway, despite the stress of moving/unpacking/getting rid of things, I am happy!!

Ooooodles of thanks and praise and love to everyone for helping out with the move (or takin' care of the puppy) this weekend! Love, love!

And tomorrow is my birthday! A day in the city with my honey-bunny doing everything but not focusing on the house! I am excited. OK, that's all for now.

In celebrating family, I have absolutely have to include our boy Tippy. We miss you everyday. The house is empty without you (although River does his best to cause a little choas when he visits.) I hope you are chasing squirrels and digging holes in heaven and enjoying every minute.

Sweltering Hot Busy July

Well it looks like I, along with the rest of the east coast, sweltered and melted through July 2010.

On top of all that, we had such a busy month.

We started the month off with a bang, literally!
Tomorrow see more pictures from our awesome 4th of July spectacular in Nyack.
Plus we did some visiting down the shore.

Since my grandmother moved to a Retirement Community in Florida, we made the big decision to move into her NJ house!
We spent most of the month packing up things she left behind and sprucing the place up to the likes of a hip, young couple such as ourselves.
Next on the agenda: lug all of our stuff over and unpack.
(We're going to do most of the moving this weekend - stay tuned.)

Our dear old yellow lab Tippy lived to be nearly 14 years-old and passed away this month onto a beautiful field in the sky. I just imagine him romping and playing like a young boy again! He is so truly missed.

Family Visit! A week of much needed girl time with Grandma, Mom, Sister & Cousins

On top of it all, July is my absolute busiest season at work.
And so far in 2010, we are at about 41 days in 90'+ heat.

As much as I generally LOVE the summer as my favorite time of the year
(my birthday is in August - summer baby)
my current question is...
