One thing I absolutely induldged myself in while in Florida was to finally pick up a copy of Elizabeth Gilbert's Eat Pray Love. You know the story, I had been meaning to foreevveerr and of course never got around to it, much less found the time to enduldge in one of my favorite hobbies (well, I guess I could give up the tv addiction a bit? ahem, moving on.)
I finally allowed myself the time last week and spoon fed every last morsel of this book into my body. It was about a young woman (check), from NY/CT (check), who totally lost her way (check) and decided through a series of events that spending a four months in Italy (check) to eat (check check), four months in India (check) to pray (check) and four months in Indonesia (aka Bali, check check check) to find balance (check) then writes about the whole experience (check check check).
What WAS there about this book that I would NOT like? Might I ask???
Anyway, I would super recommend that you read it. It's available in paperback and reads easily/like she's your best friend sitting down for a cup of tea telling you about this time in her life. Between the pool, the plane and a few mornings here or there, I finished the 300 pages in about 3-4 days. Without interuption, it could probably be done in a few hours.
Anyway, it's good. Read it.
And for those Julia Roberts fans out there, she's starring in the film coming out this summer.
More Eat Pray Love?
You bet I'll be there.
